After spending eight years in the Marine Corps as a language specialist, Carl did pre-med coursework and then went on to chiropractic school. He owned his own chiropractic office for 10 years, but some service-related injuries made it difficult for him to continue such a physically demanding career. The considerable education that Carl completed left him with considerable student loan debt. Balancing his student loan payments while also opening his own practice taught Carl some valuable lessons, so naturally people started coming to him for advice. Thus began Carl’s path to working in financial services, understanding taxes pertaining to business professionals, and being able to qualify for PSLF in addition to running his business. Currently Carl is a Chartered Financial Consultant® and an Enrolled Agent with the IRS. He is focusing his career toward philanthropic advising, showing small business owners how to leverage the power of Cause Marketing in improving their local community as well as their business.
