I started Pacesetter Planning in 2016 because I wanted to help millennials conquer their student loan debt, buy houses, and achieve their goals.
But as I talked to more and more engaged and newlywed couples, I began to see just how hard it was for couples to get on the same financial page and make the transition from managing money separately before marriage to managing money together.
I struggled with this, too. The anxiety and stress of starting a business from scratch during the first year of our marriage while we were deciding where to plant our roots as a family made it tough for my wife and I to make good long term financial decisions together.
I know what it feels like to have anxiety that we would never achieve our most important financial goals because of choices we’ve made in the past. I know what it feels like to juggle multiple financial decisions and feel paralyzed by fear of making the wrong choice. I know what it feels like to dread bringing up a financial choice we have ahead of us, because of how likely it is that the conversation will end in a fight.
My financial planning process is designed to help couples navigate all of these issues, get on the same financial page, and kick financial anxiety to the curb.
